An approaches to estimate infant mortality rate

Abstract

|
A few methods that were designed and tried to estimate IMR´s were discussed. it was indicated that they have some drawbacks because of samples´ repersentativeness and size. Also, they might be not based on data collection at a continuous basis or limited to certain geographic areas, praticularly area rural area. This paper proposes a method to monitor infants health status as well as estmate IMR´s. It utilizes health center network in connection with medical Clinics by follow-up new born babies and/or follow-up of those who received maternity benefit or birth allowances from insurance agency.
